Cold Touch Uk Ltd was first set up by myself, Andrew Hale back in January 2008.My career began in 1990, where I completed my apprenticeship at my Fathers refrigeration and air conditioning business based in Birmingham. My passion for engineering grew for almost a decade at my Fathers company until I left in 1999 and headed North to Live in Preston with my wife.
Once settled in the North-West my new role was managing contracts with two of the largest motorway,service stations along with Manchester and Liverpool Airports.I spent a further eight years successfully managing these contracts increasing my Knowledge and skills. In
the Summer of 2007 I decidied a new challenge was on the horizon and so founded my own refrigeration and air conditioning company.

This procedure is a crucial part in any business who rely on their Refrigeration and/or air conditioning to function but unfortunately through our experience this is the most neglected service and causes the majority of calls through those early summer months.
Carried out correctly by our engineers we could reduce you're running costs by as much as 50%. Clean condensers and filters are paramount and need cleaning more often than you think but most are hidden away and forgotten about. Check out our section on procedures and tips.
Other major factors are control settings ie;running too cold or continuously running and never switching off possibly caused by a lack of refrigerant. Not only do gas leaks increase you're running costs but most are powerful green house gases. A common refrigerant like R134a has a global warming potential about 1300 times greater than CO2 kilo for kilo.
Under the F-gas regulation which came into force on the 4th July 2006 equipment containing 3kg of refrigerant and upwards requires leak testing by law at least every twelve months. The disposal of refrigerant is paramount in our environment and is it is illegal to vent refrigerants into the atmosphere, with severe consequences if found guilty. We reclaim refrigerants into recovery cylinders and return it to our suppliers where it is either recycled or incinerated and the appropriate paperwork kept on file.
This is why it is important to have a professional company carry out this procedure. Our Refcom Number is undermentioned.We operate out of a 1500 sq ft industrial unit where we have a workshop to repair used equipment. Some clients may be re-locating to another premises and may want us to fully clean and repair some items ready to be re-installed. We regularly have stocks of various used refrigeration and are currently looking at adding a used products link.
We are also open to purchase products from clients too dependent upon condition and the application.We know how important it is for your company when a refrigeration system breaks down, that time is essential. Depending on the severity of the fault we aim to attend the same day and have a high percentage of first fix success rates with the support of large van stocks. Sometimes a part/s may have to be ordered but we endeavour to either collect from our nearest suppliers the same day or place on an overnight delivery, this will vary across manufacturer.
Engineers always hold the latest F-gas qualification and our company is registered with Refcom so that all refrigerants that are used are logged on an engineers report sheet along with our labour and travel times plus any components used, a copy is then signed and left with the client.Cold Touch (uk) Ltd are confident that our price structure is very competitive as this is enforced by repeated feedback. We also provide a refurbished selection of refrigeration products which are normally sold with a 3 months parts warranty.
We offer a broad range of services including packaged and bespoke cold room design and installation, remote applications including multidecks, delicatessen serveovers for the retail and catering industry which are all fully installed by ourselves and guaranteed.
